Finally!!

Well, this plant is called Bloodroot. I planted it 2 years ago and this Spring is the first time it has come up! It's a woodland plant found from Florida to Canada. The flowers appear in early Spring and last until some time in April. The leaves come next and last the rest of the year. The root color ranges from orange to red hence the name of the plant, Bloodroot.

I've got some more flowers up. Here are some tulips that are hidden behind a shrub, a Hellebore and a Pulmonaria plant. There are a lot more that should be hope in the next couple of weeks.

Helleborus purpurasens 'Red Power'

Iris bakerana

I've got a lot of green showing in the gardens so pretty soon I'll have more to show you. Until then...
